Overview:
Assist ministry-wide nurses and other interdisciplinary teams uphold clinical excellence by accelerating the translation of evidence into practice. Serves as a nurse leader, key contact, and organizational expert in evidence-based nursing practice (EBP). Contributes to the Evidence Based Practice Center of Excellence initiatives to foster a culture of inquiry. Collaborates and consults with nursing leaders and clinical nursing staff to enhance professional nursing practice, patient care delivery, and outcomes of care using research and other forms of evidence. Provides mentorship and participates in the conduct and dissemination of evidence-based practice initiatives. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a healthcare setting
- Required Education: MSN, or BSN and Master’s degree in healthcare related field
- Preferred Education: DNP, or Ph.D. in Nursing with a strong emphasis in evidence-based practice
- Licensure: Active nursing license
- Certifications: EBP-C within one year of hire
- Other: Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills with a professional attitude, demeanor, and appearance. Ability to work on projects/assignments independently. Minimal travel required.
