Job Summary:
The MRI Staff Technologist works under the supervision of the Administrative Supervisor and/or Director, operating a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain images used by physicians in the diagnosis and treatments of pathologies. This role requires the ability to select appropriate imaging techniques, operate console and peripheral hardware, and enter and monitor patient data. Additionally, the technologist will transfer images from disk to PACS.
Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program or MRI Technologist Program with completed required clinical hours.
- Experience: Possesses adequate capability for the position as determined by management.
- Licensure/Certifications: Obtained ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT registry or Advanced register eligible (Achieve advanced registry within 18 months of eligibility). BLS Basic Life Support
- Other Skills & Knowledge: IV Insertion, technical skill in medical scanning, understanding of cross-sectional anatomy, and 3-D knowledge.
