Medical Assistant Role at Mercy Clinic Primary Care - Bella Vista

Full-Time; 40 hours/week, Monday to Friday

Job Overview:

• Prepare patients for visits by completing Advanced Standard room process, including entering chief complaints, taking vital signs, reviewing patient history and allergies, and completing medication reconciliations
• Assist with in-office testing, such as drawing blood, completing mental status exams, EKGs, walking oxygen studies, and point-of-care testing
• Administer vaccines and injections within scope of practice
• Schedule follow-up appointments when needed per office policy
• Collaborate with providers and clinical care teams to monitor and coordinate delivery of care plans

Medical Assistant Qualifications:

• Medical Assistants:
• Education: High School Diploma or GED
• Certification: Must obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire
• Preferred Experience: 6 months of clinical healthcare experience, preferably in a primary care office
• Certified Medical Assistants:
• Education: High School Diploma or GED
• Certification: Must have active Medical Assistant certification/registration (RMA, CCMA, CMA) or EMT/Paramedic is also accepted. Must obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire

LPN/RN Qualifications:

Education: Diploma in Practical Nursing or Registered Nurse
Licensure: Active LPN or RN
