What are the responsibilities and job description for the Referral Coordinator position at Mercy?
This is a virtual work from home position.
Monday-Friday: 8 AM - 4:30 PM
Overview:
To support seamless patient transition into agency's services by interfacing with hospital/facility staff, physicians, and families to coordinate and process patient referrals.
Qualifications:
- Education: Must have high school diploma or equivalent with successfully completed course work.
- Experience: Must have one (1) year of experience working in a healthcare environment. Clerical and computer skills required, including data entry, office machines, and working knowledge of phone systems.
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft programs for internal communications (email) and database tracking/reporting, as well as proficiency working with electronic health records.
