Duties and Responsibilities
- Document vital signs and other patient information in electronic medical records
- Provide support with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation
- Perform clerical tasks as needed
Training and Development
- Our Patient Care Associate training program is an accredited Department of Labor Apprenticeship Program, offering a comprehensive, hands-on experience
- Mercy provides a required 175-hour training program for those with no prior experience, meeting state requirements
- BLS certification required within one month of hire; completion of PCA competencies within three months
