Overview:
Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs vascular ultrasound procedures for interpretation by physicians. Provides the patient care essential to vascular ultrasound procedures. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Qualifications:
- Experience: More than 2 years experience as a Vascular Sonographer - Meets all requirements for Level I and Level II Vascular Sonographer- Minimum 1 year experience at Mercy.
- Required Education: Graduated from an accredited school of sonography.
- Certifications: RVT required for Vascular Sonographer III.
- Other: Must perform stress tests/TEE, IV certified- Merge cardio super user and super user for other technology/equpiment- Precepting (new hires, students)- Required completion of PROF062 - Preceptor Workshop and PROF358 Preceptor Workshop Pre-course Curriculum. - Leads AND participates in QI, accreditation, chooses cases for CME meetings.
