Multi-Family Property Manager

Property Manager needed for a multifamily apartment complex in Norfolk. Seeking an experienced supervisor with strong customer service skills, apartment leasing experience, and a self-motivated "can-do" attitude. Candidate must be computer literate and capable of managing a 2 person staff. Must have a valid driver's license and own vehicle.

Property Manager job responsibilities:

A. Market apartments, take applications, do credit checks, approve tenants and sign leases.

B. Collect rents and log on computer.

C. Deposit rents in the bank.

D. Go to court and/or work in conjunction with an attorney to collect rents and evict tenants.

E. Handle evictions.

F. Inspect apartments prior to move in and after move out.

G. Inspect grounds and apartments on a weekly and/or daily basis.

H. Handle maintenance calls during business hours - help out after hours if needed. Make sure all work orders are entered in the Yardi Work Order system and turned over to maintenance for follow up.

I. Run Yardi WO report each morning to review outstanding WO's with Maintenance Supervisor.

J. Keep time for all on-site staff and turn in for weekly payroll payment.

K. Approve all invoices for payment.

L. Handle all tenant relations.

M. Help with advertising and marketing of apartment units.

N. Maintain "Make Ready Log" for vacant apartments that are being "turned". Review with Maintenance Supervisor.

O. Carry out all other aspects of operating the on-site management office including supervising all on-site employees.

P. Process all Yardi, AUM, and VHDA functions for tenants.
