We welcome your knowledge, experience, story, and expertise! As an HR Generalist, you will:
- Manage the full cycle processing and tracking of FMLA, LOA, and ADA accommodation requests.
- Report, process, maintain, and monitor all workers' compensation cases, and complete ergonomic assessments.
- Maintain OSHA data and file annual reports to conform to OSHA regulations.
- Process new hire data weekly (IT ticket submissions, data entry in select staff databases, etc.).
- Complete I-9s and E-Verify, ensuring compliance with USCIS guidelines.
- Participate in weekly in-person new hire onboarding orientation classes.
- Work with new hires to obtain official educational transcripts as required by their positions.
- Manage the random drug testing program for maintenance workers and Center drivers.
- Conduct employee exit interviews and compile and present reports on the feedback.
- Complete quarterly internal HR personnel file audits.
- Conduct human resources-related background screenings, including local background checks, Level II background checks, DMV driver record checks, and managing staff rosters in background clearinghouses.
- Be trained as a backup for Payroll & Benefits Manager, Sr. HR Generalist, and HR Executive Assistant in payroll processing, HR telephone coverage, federal reporting (VETS 4212, EEO, etc.), external audits, employee badge processing, employee relations, and general HR duties as needed.
- Update and maintain accurate personnel records in the HRIS, including updating associate records, entering new hire information, updating professional health licenses/credentials (new and renewals), health-related certifications, and running reports from HRIS.
- Assist in updating human resources policies related to your job responsibilities.
- Perform all other duties as assigned and/or required to meet program and departmental goals and objectives.
Who Are We Looking For? (Minimum Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline OR at least 3 years of recent hands-on experience within the last five years in Human Resources/administrative services.
- Must be able to type at least 25 wpm on prescreen assessment and must have a passing score on the computer assessment test.
- Notary Public - desired but not required.
- Must have a current Florida Driver's License with a clean driving record while meeting company insurance requirements.
