Job Summary:
Oversee and lead software engineering teams to ensure successful design, development, testing, continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes, and maintenance of software applications while managing team performance.
Essential Functions:
- Conduct performance reviews and guide career development.
- Foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement
- Provide training and conflict resolution
- Ensure program increments meet timeline and quality targets
- Collaborate across departments and facilitate resolution of technical issues
- Develop and monitor technical KPIs at a team and individual level
- Oversee code review processes and adherence to Meridian coding standards
- Champion secure coding practices within teams
- Ensure Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) are met
- Oversee testing methodologies including test automation and integration with CI/CD processes
- Ensure adequate test and development environments are available to teams
- Review technical design documentation
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies and act as coach to engineering teams in executing Agile practices
- Take the initiative in thought leadership, innovation, and continuous improvement
- Represent the company at conferences and networking events
- Adhere to all Meridian corporate policies and procedures
- Travel as required
- Any additional responsibilities assigned by management
Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related engineering or technical discipline.
Work Experience: Six years of experience in a software or web development position required.
(Proficiency) Skill:
(High) Proficient in programming languages such as C#, JavaScript, and PL/SQL
(High) Experience with agile development methodologies (SAFe preferred)
(High) Experience working with relational databases (Oracle preferred)
(High) Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills

- Paid Time Off: Eligible to begin accrual from date of hire; accrual amount based on years of service. Beginning accrual rate equivalent to 22 days per year. 9 holidays which include the day after Thanksgiving, and Christmas Eve. Up to 240 hours of PTO can roll over to the following year.

Following one year of eligible service, the Company contributes in two ways: (1) match of 100% of each dollar you contribute on the first five percent (5%) of eligible compensation, and (2) Employer basic contribution of 4% of base salary (with increases in basic contribution percentage based on years of service).
