About the Role
As a Sales Associate at Meridian Men, you’ll be the face of our brand, creating personalized and inspiring shopping experiences for each client. From providing expert style guidance to managing the flow of daily store operations, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our store reflects Meridian’s unique aesthetic. You’ll handle everything from merchandising new arrivals to processing transactions, all while building strong, lasting client relationships. With a deep passion for fashion and a commitment to exceptional service, you’ll drive sales, support in-store events, and help shape memorable shopping moments.

Qualifications and Expectations

• Prior customer experience is required.
• A passion for fashion with a strong understanding of current trends and brands.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build customer rapport.
• Ability to work flexibly, including weekends, holidays, and during special events.
• A strong work ethic with attention to detail and a positive, can-do attitude.
• Willingly accept other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or directed.
• Ability to spend multiple hours on the sales floor.
• Must love dogs!

Duties and Responsibilities:
The following is a list of expected job duties and responsibilities; however, given the nature of our business, you will be required to perform duties in addition to, or in place of, the responsibilities associated with your stated position.

Sales & Customer Service:

• Consistently meet and exceed daily and monthly sales goals.
• Provide elevated customer service with expert styling advice tailored to individual preferences.
• Build strong, long-lasting client relationships through attentive and personalized service.
• Proactively resolve customer inquiries and issues, ensuring an exceptional shopping experience.

Operations & Merchandising:

• Maintain the store’s visual standards by keeping displays, fitting rooms, and backroom areas organized and visually appealing.
• Unpack and prepare new merchandise for the sales floor, adhering to store protocols.
• Ensure all inventory is properly received, tagged, and merchandised according to company standards.
• Participate in daily housekeeping tasks to maintain the overall appearance and functionality of the store.

Administration:

• Handle transactions efficiently, including returns, exchanges, and special orders.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as daily deposits, vendor returns, and shipping.
• Maintain accurate financial records, ensuring cash drawers and sales reports are balanced and reconciled.

In-Store Events & Collaboration:

• Participate in and support in-store events, including VIP shopping experiences, trunk shows, and private shopping events.
• Collaborate with management and the rest of the team to communicate customer feedback, sales performance, and new ideas for improvement.
