We are searching for a Part Time Direct Care Worker/Bus Attendant!
Description of position:
Direct Care Workers work with the medically fragile children who attend our facility daily. These staff members are a vital part of our team and act as an aid to the nurse in each care area. Some tasks they perform daily are obtaining vital signs, feeding children, assisting with activities of daily living and toileting, and charting on electronic medical records system. All direct care workers assist with transportation routes and act as a bus attendant during their shift. As a bus attendant, the staff member monitors the children on the bus, documents pick up/drop off times and locations in a log, and communicates needs/ issues with families and the administrator of the facility. This job does require some lifting and knowledge of ergonomics associated with heavy lifting. Applicants should be able bodied and prepared to assist with lifting and transporting children throughout the day.
Requirements for DCW/Bus Attendant
-Childcare experience of 2 years in the healthcare setting or daycare setting. We prefer applicants who have experience with special needs children.
- BLS Certification Required
-Clean Background Check
-Valid Drivers License
-High School Diploma or higher
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $12.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
