Responsibilities
Prepare and issue invoices to clients and customers in a timely manner.
Perform account reconciliation to ensure accuracy of billing statements.
Maintain accurate records of all transactions, including payments received and outstanding balances.
Utilize accounting software such as Quicken and PeopleSoft for billing processes.
Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) in all billing activities.
Assist in coding transactions accurately for proper financial reporting.
Collaborate with other departments to resolve billing discrepancies and customer inquiries.
Stay updated on medical terminology as it relates to billing for healthcare services, if applicable.
Experience
Proven experience in accounting or billing roles is preferred.
Familiarity with corporate accounting practices and principles is essential.
Proficiency in using accounting software, including Quicken and PeopleSoft, is highly desirable.
Knowledge of account reconciliation processes and coding is beneficial.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are required to manage multiple accounts effectively.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating excellent communication skills.
