Position Summary
The Zoi Market Manager will oversee day-to-day retail operations, lead a dynamic team, and ensure seamless integration with our connected coffee shop, cocktail bar, pop-up spaces, and event venue. You’ll be responsible for ensuring our market runs smoothly—from product displays and stock flow to team training and customer satisfaction—while supporting our larger brand vision of creating a hub for natural wellness and conscious commerce.
Key Responsibilities
**Retail Operations & Inventory Management**
- Oversee the full daily operations of Zoi Market, including staffing, cleanliness, merchandising, and customer experience
- Ensure proper inventory tracking and purchasing for market products (organic foods, supplements, home goods, gifts, etc.)
- Work with our herbal and wellness teams to keep displays, product information, and signage up to date
- Manage vendor relationships, deliveries, and stocking schedules
**Team Leadership & Culture Building**
- Lead, train, and inspire a team of retail staff and keyholders
- Schedule shifts, track performance, and uphold a high standard of service and accountability
- Model and enforce Zoi’s values: kindness, calm under pressure, efficiency, tact, and professionalism
- Foster a culture of pride, respect, and clarity among staff
**Customer Experience**
- Provide exceptional customer service and ensure all staff meet those standards
- Serve as a visible, engaged leader on the floor during key hours
- Assist with customer questions about wellness products, herbs, and food items with curiosity and professionalism (herbal training not required but welcomed)
**Collaboration & Communication**
- Coordinate with leadership from our other divisions (coffee bar, bakery, events, and clinic)
- Collaborate with the ownership and executive team on seasonal merchandising, product launches, and promotions
- Attend weekly check-ins and participate in planning discussions
Qualifications
- 3 years of management experience in retail, hospitality, wellness, or a related field
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Clear and compassionate communication style
- Passion for natural lifestyle, wellness, and design-driven retail
- Comfort with POS systems, light inventory software, and basic computer literacy
- Ability to lead by example and support a calm, productive workplace culture
Compensation & Growth Path
We believe in rewarding talent, growth, and dedication. Compensation for this role is structured as follows:
- Starting Salary: $58,000 annually
- 90-Day Performance Review: Eligible for an increase to $62,000 based on performance, communication, and goal achievement
- First-Year Growth Goal: Increase to $65,000 annually with ongoing milestones
- Future Growth: Opportunities for advancement within Zoi Market and across the Zoi Well family of brands based on leadership, innovation, and performance
