What are the responsibilities and job description for the Respiratory Therapist, Nights position at Merit Health River Oaks?
The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for the administration of pharmacological, diagnostic, and therapeutic agents related to respiratory care procedures necessary to implement treatment, disease prevention, pulmonary rehabilitative, or diagnostic regimes prescribed by physicians. Full Time night shift.
Education :
An Associate's degree from an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program is required.
Licenses & Certifications :
A credential of Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
A Respiratory Therapist License issued by the state of Mississippi.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) are a requirement. (NRP and PALS within 90 days of hire.)
Qualifications :
Experience in Ventilators, High Flow O2 and BiPAP is a must.
Cerner charting experience is a plus.
Must possess a positive attitude and good time management skills.
