This position is primarily in-office, with 4 days a week required in our Grand Rapids, MI office. We are looking for candidates who either currently reside in the Grands Rapids, MI area or would be open to relocation to the area.
Meritage Hospitality Group is seeking a HRIS Analyst to join the team!
What You’ll Do:
The HRIS Analyst is responsible for the maintenance of the human resource information system (HRIS) in addition to other systems supported by the HRP team. This position serves as a technical point of contact for assigned functional areas and assists subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. The HRIS Analyst coordinates the upgrades, testing, and other technical projects as assigned. Day to Day this role works self-sufficiently on projects, complex troubleshooting and problem solving, as well as general system maintenance.
Responsibilities and Essential Duties:
- Responsible for the upkeep and utilization of the HRIS. Maintains data integrity in systems by running audits and analyzing data.
- Manages the creation of new HRIS business processes and fixes broken business processes. Maintains HRIS configurations.
- Resolves HRIS problems and unexpected results or process flaws; performs scheduled activities; recommends solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.
- Serves as a key liaison with third party vendors that are supporting HRIS projects, deployments, and trouble-shooting issues. Uses project management skills in managing projects and provides overall project management for assigned HR initiatives.
- Provides integration support, reviews and updates with IT team and vendors for new business and resolution activity.
- Writes, customizes, maintains, and supports a variety of complex reports or queries using reporting tools. Assists in the selection of standard reports to recommend for ongoing management needs.
- Coordinates activity for new releases, including education and communication. Reviews, tests, implements, and audits the HRIS upgrades.
- Collaborating with functional and technical leads to coordinate application of upgrades or fixes.
- Documents processes and results. Develops user procedures, guidelines, and documentation.
- Trains new system users and employees/managers on new processes/functionality.
- Provides support as needed for HR Generalist.
- Identifies common issues and resolves them to improve the user experience and minimize helpdesk support requests.
- Maintains awareness of current trends in HRIS with a focus on product and service development, delivery and support, and applying key technologies. Through classes, reading, or other mechanisms, continuously increases both HR and HRIS knowledge. Participates in user group meetings/conferences.
- Attend staff meetings, training courses and other meetings as required
- Other duties as assigned

- 2 or more years of progressive experience in an HRIS analyst or business systems analyst role or related
- Strong proficiency in data management and analysis
- Strong Excel knowledge and experience
- Ability to maintain and safeguard confidential and sensitive information
- Ability to demonstrate strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, HRIS Systems, and other related business software, systems and basic office equipment.
- Ability to demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills at all levels within the organization
- Ability to effectively work with minimal supervision
- Ability to demonstrate effective cross-functional team collaboration.
- Ability to maintain system configuration and business processes to meet business requirements.
- Ability to demonstrate initiative by identifying challenges that affect your work, your team, or your organization, and propose solutions or improvements.
- Ability to demonstrate managing multiple tasks by meeting deadlines and prioritizing workload
- Knowledge of basic Human Resource compliance and standards.
- Ability to adapt and continuously learn industry trends and knowledge
- Ability to multi-task while maintaining composure and giving sound advice and direction
- Ability to provide excellent service while expediting or resolving all customer related concerns and issues.
