The Opportunity
We are looking for a strong Senior Accountant to join our team at Integrated Cooling Solutions (Meriton's portfolio company) in Miami, FL. A successful Senior Accountant combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles in order to be able to analyze financial reports and reconciliations. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in assisting the Accounting Manager and Business Unit Controller with projects and with the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department.
Responsibilities :
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes
- Develop, document, and maintain policies and procedures to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Perform accounting research and communicate conclusions to the relevant parties
- Analyze financial reports and report findings
- Analyze processes and suggest process improvements to increase efficiency for the Accounting Department and the Company
- Participate in the maintenance of the Companys financial records to ensure that these are maintained in accordance with Company policies and US GAAP
- Perform account reconciliations and record any necessary corrections to maintain the proper balances in the general ledger accounts
- Perform calculations necessary to record journal entries in accordance with US GAAP
- Assist with the calculation of sales engineer commissions
- Provide input into the Accounting Departments goal-setting process
- Prepare financial statements and general financial reporting as required by the business
- Assist with the preparation of the budget and analyze actual performance against the budget
- Assist in providing information for all audits : financial statement, bank, insurance, benefits, tax, etc.
- Assist with special projects and ad hoc reporting requirements as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned by management

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to operate computer keyboard and telephone, reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and / or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
