Dispatcher

The Dispatcher will interact with customers by proactively addressing inquiries and resolving concerns in addition to assisting with dispatch duties including ensuring all equipment, personnel, and infrastructure is scheduled for propane equipment installations and service appointments. To be successful in this role, one must be committed to Service, Efficiency and Safety.

This position will support our Pico Propane location in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Interact with customers via telephone, email, or in person to provide support and information on products or services and serves as a liaison between customers and the company
• Schedule deliveries for customers and provide instructions to drivers in a timely, efficient manner
• Collects and enters orders for new or additional products or services and keep customers updated with delivery status
• Forwards customer questions and complaints to the assigned specialist or other appropriate staff
• Field customer questions and complaints; when the issue is beyond the representatives knowledge, forwards to the assigned specialist or other appropriate staff.
• Ensures that appropriate actions are taken to resolve customers problems and concerns
• Maintains customer accounts and records of customer interactions with details of inquiries, complaints, or comments
• Review driver tickets to ensure all customer accounts are billed for gas delivery
• Identify equipment and tank needs
• Follow position specific processes, procedures, and safety protocol to include wearing appropriate PPE
• Assist customers with filling propane cylinders at the bottle dock station
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 3 years of customer service experience
• Experience in high-volume phone call settings highly preferred
• Experience in the oil and propane industry preferred
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Service-oriented and the ability to resolve customer grievances
• Proficient with computer skills and the ability to learn and use current and new software
• Must be proficient with the current Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn and utilize different software

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk, using a phone, and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds as needed in order to safely assist with duties around the plant
• Must pass pre-employment screening and background check
