What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Respiratory Practioner position at Meritus Health?
Under the direction of the Clinical Manager of Respiratory Care, serves as a clinical expert for staff and a primary contact to assist in the coordination and execution of daily operational and administrative requirements. Is a role model for staff and exhibits excellent customer service skills. Follows regulatory standards and guidelines of the Joint Commission, Infection Control, and hospital policy and procedure.
Education – Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy required, bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience – A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Respiratory Therapy.
Licensure/Certification – Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care required. Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner by the State of Maryland required. BLS (CPR) in compliance with policy required. Respiratory Care Epic Credentialed Trainer preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities – Strong team work ethic while also able to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to work in stressful environments while maintaining a professional attitude in communication with staff, medical providers, and other members of the team. Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to maintain objectivity and confidentiality.
