What are the responsibilities and job description for the Catering Associate-Bowman Academic Hall position at Meritus Medical Center Inc?
Under the direction of Food Production Manager, assumes responsibility for Nutrition Services Catering requests, to ensure the needs and desires of medical center managers and guests are met in a satisfactory manner. Completes additional assignments as needed to assist Food Production Manager. Nutrition Services is focused on Service Excellence. All employees must be willing and able to commit to the departmental customer service and behavioral guidelines. Organizes and processes all catering requests to ensure detailed instructions are communicated clearly to Nutrition Services employees in a timely manner.
Education – High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience – Two years of cooking experience within a customer service and team atmosphere preferred.
Licensure/Certification – ServSafe Certification preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities – Must be computer literate and capable of fully utilizing medical center computer system for communicating and maintenance of records. Must have excellent abilities to work with people of varied backgrounds, including Senior Leadership. Must possess excellent organization skills to enable coordinator to plan and carry out multiple events sim ultaneously. Ability to function with minimal supervision is essential. Creativity in food preparation and presentation is required. Must be able to work a highly flexible schedule. Works in kitchen environment with exposure to heat, cold, noise and cleaning chemicals. Makes deliveries throughout the medical center and to Robinwood Conference center.
