IT Desktop Support Technician
Full-time, 80 hours bi-weekly, MSOM support
Provides first line technical support for all computer hardware and software systems. Individual will often times be the "face of IT" and so must represent the team in a professional manner. Position requires strong customer service, follow through, and ability to logically resolve standard technical issues encountered in the health system. Provide suitable solutions dealing with PCs, thin clients, network connectivity, PC hardware configuration, PC software and other related activities. Installs and configures PC operating systems in accordance with current Meritus Health standards.
Education – Associate's degree or completion of coursework through a technical school required. Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Experience – Hands-on experience working with PC hardware and software including four years of computer user support experience required. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Windows operating systems, and graphical user interfaces and advanced applications skills (macros, database, OLE).
Licensure/Certification – Professional certification such as the A certificate or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) designation preferred. For use of Personal Vehicles: Access to a vehicle and current driver’s license from any state is required. Acknowledgement with signature to “Attestation A” of Meritus Vehicle Management Use and Control policy, which includes guidelines for personal insurance coverage requirements.
For use of Meritus Vehicles: Valid Driver’s License, A driving record as required by law for vehicle expected to operate. No record of moving violations in the past three years is preferred. Certified copy of driving record is required to be provided by team member annually on date of birth. Acknowledgement with signature to “Attestation A” of Meritus Vehicle Management Use and Control policy.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities – Excellent problem-solving and customer-service skills, as well as thorough knowledge of PC hardware, software and network connections.
