Financial Controller

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to oversee and manage the financial operations of our cutting-edge bitcoin mining and HPC/AI data center operations. The Financial Controller will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, optimizing cost efficiency, and providing strategic insights to support the company’s growth and profitability in a fast-paced, technology-driven industry.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management:

• Oversee all aspects of financial accounting, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow projections.

Cost Analysis and Optimization:

• Monitor and analyze operational costs, including energy consumption, equipment maintenance, and infrastructure expenditures.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to improve overall financial efficiency.
• Work closely with procurement and operations teams to negotiate vendor contracts and manage capital expenditures.

Strategic Planning and Analysis:

• Collaborate with senior leadership to develop financial strategies that align with business objectives.
• Provide insights into financial performance and market trends to support decision-making.
• Evaluate new investment opportunities, such as site expansions and hardware acquisitions, from a financial perspective.

Compliance and Risk Management:

• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, financial reporting standards, and industry-specific requirements.
• Implement internal audit processes to mitigate financial risks and safeguard company assets.
• Manage relationships with external auditors, financial institutions, and regulatory agencies.

Team Leadership and Development:

• Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CFA designation preferred).
• 7 years of experience in financial management, with a strong preference for experience in the technology, energy, or data center sectors.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in financial management software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP).
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and financial modeling.
• Familiarity with energy markets, bitcoin mining, and high-performance computing (HPC) is highly desirable.

Leadership and Communication:

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
