Purpose of the Job:
Improve the overall health of the communities we serve by applying accounting principles to maintain financial information and prepare accurate financial reports as follows:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for Monthly financial book close process and reporting

Assists with monthly financial document preparation

Maintains reconciliation of all GL Accounts for the organization

Prepares information, reports, and analyses for audits and reviews

Maintains technical knowledge of organizational information sources

Coordinates with other departments and functions to prepare comprehensive financial reports

Reviews expenditures and makes recommendations on cost savings

Keeps up to date on the latest accounting standards and establishes, modifies, documents, and coordinates implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures

Devises and implements systems for general accounting functions

Complies and analyzes financial information to prepare journal entries to account and document business transactions

Reviews accuracy of documentation and approves accounts payable invoices and payments.

Completes various annual federal and state compliance reports

Assists in budgeting processes

Performs ad-hoc reporting as requested

Backup for all accounting/bookkeeping functions

Expert in US GAAP and other related guidance

Performs other duties as assigned.

Travel may be required.
Qualifications
Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or another related field. A minimum of five years of public accounting experience is preferred. Experience relating to grant compliance, healthcare and/or nonprofit agencies is preferred. Licensures in the state of Washington as a Certified Public Accountant or eligible preferred.
Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills required. Previous training and/or experience utilizing accounting software is required; intermediate computer skills are required. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is preferred.
Physical Demands;
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, and sit. The employee is occasionally required to move around the facility; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Salary : $83,100 - $105,100
