Paying employees the right amount, on time, every time is
one of the most important activities an HR Operations function can deliver.

North America for every one of our LEGOLAND parks (Florida, California and soon
to be New York) and 37 Midway attractions (Sealife, Legoland Discovery Centres,
Madam Tussauds, Peppa Pig World and The Dungeons) for every one of our
thousands of amazing employees!
So – you will appreciate we need some efficient, diligent
and experienced people to manage that process.
Scope and
Responsibilities
We are looking for
knowledgeable Payroll Specialists to be based in our brand new
People Services Hub in Orlando, Florida responsible for processing
and managing the company’s payroll.
You will be responsible
for calculating wages based on hours worked and to administer the payments.
The ultimate goal being
to ensure all our employees receive the correct compensation precisely when
they expect it.
Main Responsibilities:
Gather information on hours worked for
each employee
Calculate the correct amount incorporating
overtime, deductions, bonuses etc. using our payroll systems
Seek and receive approval from upper
management for payments when needed
Prepare and execute pay orders through an
electronic system or distribute paychecks where appropriate
Process taxes and payment of employee benefits
Keep track of hour rates, wages,
compensation benefit rates, new hire information etc.
Address issues and questions regarding
payroll from employees and superiors
Prepare reports for upper management,
finance department reagrding taxes and payment of employee benefits
Skills & Experience Required
Proven experience as payroll specialist in a fast moving high
volume environment
Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices
Very good knowledge of relevant payroll legislation and regulations
Proficient in MS Office and good knowledge of relevant software and
databases
In
addition you will be
Confidential – you’ll be dealing with employees personal pay information
Numerate with an excellent attention to detail – you’ll love numbers and be adept at spotting when things don’t look right
