Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Test Manager with a strong background in the telecommunications domain to lead testing efforts for critical projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end testing activities, ensuring the delivery of high-quality systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
Key Responsibilities- Test Planning and Strategy
- Define comprehensive test strategies and plans for telecom projects, including scope, resources, timelines, and risks.
- Align test plans with business and technical requirements to ensure seamless delivery.
- Team Leadership
- Manage and mentor testing teams, ensuring high performance and adherence to best practices.
- Coordinate with development, QA, and operations teams to drive effective testing processes.
- Execution and Monitoring
- Oversee all phases of testing, including system integration, functional, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Identify and mitigate risks while monitoring test execution progress.
- Defect Management
- Track, report, and prioritize defects, ensuring timely resolution in collaboration with development teams.
- Establish and manage defect triage processes with stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Communication
- Act as the primary point of contact for all testing activities, ensuring clear and timely communication with project managers, technical leads, and business stakeholders.
- Prepare and present test metrics, progress reports, and risk assessments to stakeholders.
- Telecom Domain Expertise
- Leverage telecom industry experience to validate systems, applications, and processes specific to the domain.
- Manage testing of telecom-specific systems such as OSS/BSS, network provisioning, billing, and CRM systems.
- Tool Implementation and Optimization
- Select and utilize test management tools, automation frameworks, and performance testing tools to optimize efficiency.
- Drive innovation in testing processes through automation and modern methodologies.
- Experience:
- 8 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
- 3 years in a Test Manager role, preferably in the telecommunications domain.
- Proven experience with telecom systems like OSS/BSS, network provisioning, billing, or CRM systems.
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong understanding of testing methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) and tools such as JIRA, TestRail, or HP ALM.
- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, SoapUI).
- Familiarity with API testing and performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
- Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Telecom certifications or training (e.g., TM Forum certifications).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of cloud-based telecom systems and virtualization technologies.
