Merrell Bros., Inc. (Merrell Bros.) is a nationwide biosolids management company helping municipalities, industries and agricultural operations successfully manage and recycle biosolids for over 40 years. We are seeking a detail-oriented individual with an accounting background to join our Finance team as an Accounting Specialist.
Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility will be to assist with the day-to-day functions of our finance department. They will be responsible for a wide range of financial and accounting tasks within the organization including expense management, fleet insurance oversight and equipment titles and renewals. We are seeking an individual seeking growth potential within the financial realm. The ideal candidate will possess strong work ethic and organizational skills to manage a variety of duties.
- Collaborate with team members to provide necessary monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for senior management.
- Primary expense management responsibilities for employee corporate expenditures throughout the organization.
- Internal project reporting via transfer pricing.
- Assist with compiling tax credits
- Support Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable responsibilities
- Update and audit Fuel Cloud system costing and tracking
- Fleet management system oversight including maintenance of all equipment records including titles and insurance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Experience & Education:
- BS in Accounting or Business Administration or equivalent experience in related field, minimally five years in similar role.
- Experience with Concur Solutions Expense Management software preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications.
- Firm grasp of the Accounting Cycle
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines simultaneously.

Salary : $57,000 - $70,000
