Job Description
Merrell Bros. Florida Division is seeking a mobile technician mechanic to diagnosis, repair, inspect and maintain a fleet of new Mack trucks and various trailer related equipment. Work schedule is from 6:30 AM to approximately 4:00 PM Monday-Friday, with Saturday as optional time to earn more. Starting pay over $70,000.00. Includes benefits.
Benefits
-Starting at $24.00-28.00 per hour minimum: negotiable based on technical truck and trailer mechanic experience
-Weekly direct deposit pay: no cap on chosen hours - if there are problems to solve and a desire to receive overtime, no limitations
-Flexible Saturday hours: not required but available if desired
-Annual safety bonus for all team members who remain accident/ticket free: $1,500 bonus annually
-Attendance bonus can be paid out or used for 16 days off per year: $2,000 bonus annually

-New Large Semi Maintenance shop and parts room being constructed now.
-100% Day Shift work.
-Tools provided as needed.
-Ford F550 Crew Cab utility truck provided
Essential Functions
-Diesel and gasoline engine diagnosis and repair
-Sensor and Truck Computer diagnosis and repair
-Drive line repairs
-Air, hydraulic, and electric brake diagnosis and repairs
-Welding, cutting and fabrication as needed
-Diagnose and repair mobile hydraulic systems and related components
-Perform annual/periodic inspections
-Troubleshoot and repair auxiliary electrical systems and components as needed
-Maintain close contact with fleet managers to assess and solve problems
-Maintain a clean and safe work truck and work area
-Accurately record work time, work tasks, repairs performed
Requirements
-Minimum of 2 years experience in repairs of automotive/truck machinery required;
-Graduate of post-secondary automotive/truck technology program preferred.
Leadership/Teamwork
-Must be able to work closely with other technicians and team members with a limited amount of supervision
-Ability to work independently and, as required, coordinate and prioritize mechanical support services to meet departmental needs.
Physical Requirements
-Must be able to lift up to seventy-five (75) pounds
-Must be able to reach and grab tools and equipment
-Must be able to stand in one place for periods of time
-The functions of this position includes sitting, walking, standing, climbing, reaching, bending, truck movements, pushing and pulling, low level work, and dexterity of hands and fingers.
