Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Corporate Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring financial reports to assess accuracy, investigating variance, approving expenses and ensuring that account billing is issued to customers and payments collected.
Responsibilities
- Maintain records of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities with an organization.
- Maintain general ledger as needed.
- Prepare payroll tax returns, personal property tax returns and sales tax returns.
- Analyze financial data in order to prepare financial reports.
- Generate and interpret financial records and statements to management.
- Record, balance and deposit public purchases or fees, donations and employees' reimbursements including maintaining spreadsheets for such billings.
- Process accounts payable, including tracking expenditures for training and budgets.
- Process accounts payable, including entering data for expense reports.
- Verify and reconcile bank statements or department records.
- Reconcile bank accounts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Three to five years of experience in accounting management, preferably with emphasis on manufacturing/cost accounting.
- Public accounting experience preferred.
- Knowledge of entity types, structuring and transactions.
