Job description
Here is what the job entails:
The primary duties of the CNC Machine Operator include setting up, and operating machines to saw, cut, shear, slit, drill, punch, crimp, notch, bend, or straighten metal.
Qualifications:
- Mechanically inclined
- Able to operate grinders for around 15 hours/week
- Experienced in power tools and forklifts (preferred)
- Able to read a tape measure
- Blueprint reading and interpretation skills
- Experience in operating CNC machines and precision measuring instruments
- Experience with Fanuc and Programmable Logic Controllers
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Quality / Safety Skills
- Have acute situational awareness
- Able to be trained on and operate overhead cranes
- Equipped with personal protection equipment (PPE)
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
