POSITION: Dean of Students , Homer Iddings Elementary
REPORTS TO: Building Principal
JOB GOAL: To assist the Principal with student academics and behavior.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate College & Career program, awards programs and RTI program.
- Assist with the scheduling of all current and new students
- Supervision of students during school and after-school events
- Provide parent workshops on topics such as homework, organization, study skills, etc.
- Assist with PBIS program
- Assist with truancy program
- Handle student discipline and communicate with parents
- Chair case conferences
- Create and update 504 plans
- Update Master Schedule
- School Test Coordinator for all testing.
- Assist Teachers to implement instructional best practices.
- Implement CPI when necessary
- All other duties assigned by Principal
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5 years demonstrated successful teaching and/or coaching experience preferred.
- Appropriate State of Indiana license; Administrative license preferred.
- Must be CPI trained
- Proven reliability, good organization skills, and ability to work well with students, parents and staff.
- Strong communication skills including experience in leading professional development.
- Ability to problem-solve and be a self-starter
CONTRACT: Full time 2025/2026, Regular Teachers Contract
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions
of the MCSC’s policy on certified staff evaluation.
