What are the responsibilities and job description for the Interim Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment position at MERRIMACK SCHOOL DISTRICT?
The Merrimack School District is looking to hire an Interim Assistant Superintendent to lead the curriculum, instruction, and assessment efforts in the district. This position is intended to be a one-year position, starting on July 1, 2025, and ending on June 30, 2026. There will be a recruitment effort for a permanent position in January/February 2026 as the district will be seeking a new Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent, starting July 1, 2026. This candidate may apply for the permanent position if interested at that time.
The Ideal Candidate Possesses the Following Qualifications:
New Hampshire Assistant Superintendent Certification
Extensive knowledge and experience with state legislation, New Hampshire certification requirements, federal program requirements, and grant management
Strong leadership skills with a focus on school improvement, instructional best practices, and data-driven decision-making.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a positive, innovative, and results-oriented approach
Proficiency in educational technology and its application in modern instructional practices
5 years teaching experience, and 3 years of educational leadership experience
