Job Summary

Typical Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate with SALES and OPERATIONS all equipment needs and personnel for on-going projects
- Assist with ensuring the proper completion of all company paperwork thoroughly and on time, specifically work orders and delivery tickets
- Assist in developing new methods and procedures, leading the company into new and improved practices and technologies
- Implement and enforce all company policies and procedures with respect to logistics, inventory and fleet management, etc.
- Manage fleet and equipment disbursements and assures the proper location
- Assign, train, supervise, and evaluate staff associated with inventory control
- Monitor inventory databases to ensure reliability and realistic information
- Ensure that bottleneck operations, capacity constraints, inventory accuracy issues, and cycle counts are recognized and addressed
- Arrange for the disposal of surplus materials and equipment; maintains control over excess and obsolete materials
- Assist with shipping/receiving practices of reporting personnel
- Oversee yard organization and maintenance
- Maintain and update the inventory management system
- Work with ADMINISTRATION in complying with DOT rules and regulations
- Solicits and analyzes quotations from vendors, negotiating best possible prices
- Initiate purchase order requests, order products, and provide the necessary information to ADMINISTRATION for the actual issuance of a PO from QuickBooks
- Review supply requisitions and coordinates with requesting department the required specifications, quantity, quality, lead-time, and delivery issues for products requested
- Verify that all products received conform to what was ordered: correct product type, quantity, pricing, and quality
- Identify new suppliers and develops and manages supplier relations for maximum benefit
- Identify problem areas affecting or affected by purchasing, keeping management informed and recommending corrective action
- Oversee company product shipping requests by contacting vendors, obtaining costs, and initiating shipping processes
- Ensure that The Mersino Way is a guiding document in all daily activities
Required
- Associates degree in Construction Management or related field
- 3 years experience in managing construction projects
- Supervisory experience
- Planning and organizational skills in handling multiple projects
- Proficient in PC software applications
- Ability to work with others in addressing inner organizational issues
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and/or technical manuals
- Knowledge of budgeting, cost estimating and bidding procedures
- Skills in workflow analysis and management
- Knowledge of contract documents and specifications

- Bachelors degree in Construction Management or related field
