Job Summary:

The primary responsibility of the Production Painter II is to prepare, coat, and finish surfaces of industrial equipment and structures, ensuring adherence to quality standards and specifications. The Production Painter II will also be responsible for inspecting surfaces, mixing and applying paint or other coatings, and maintaining equipment. Additionally, the Production Painter II should serve as a contributing team member and individual contributor to the overall success of the team.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work SECOND shift hours
• Apply coatings through conventional, airless and other types of spray systems
• Mix paints to desired colors and consistencies
• Perform grinding, sanding, polishing, and air-powered sandblasting to prepare surfaces
• Prepare, prime, and paint pumps, parts, and various equipment as needed
• Mask and cover surfaces not to be painted
• Operate and maintain paint spraying equipment
• Examine finished parts or equipment to ensure proper surface prep and finished quality
• Order paint and keep equipment in a safe, clean condition
  
  

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in industrial painting or production painting
• A Good Learning Orientation
• Effective Time Management
• Ability to lift heavy objects (75lbs) and perform strenuous physical labor
• Ability to wear a respirator
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
