Job Description
The Contract Negotiator role is responsible for proactively directing and managing all facets of MES Life Safety's bids and contracts. This includes negotiating, administering, and coordinating with the Vice President of Sales Programs, regional sales teams, and field operations to ensure compliance and optimal contract performance.
This position requires a self-starter with strong analytical skills, expertise in Excel, and the ability to work independently. The ideal candidate will have experience in contract management, procurement, or contract administration, as well as advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review and complete municipal contracts, national, state, and local cooperative contracts.
- Conduct data analysis of contract terms, pricing schedules, and compliance requirements.
- Maintain an organized system for tracking and managing contract deadlines, renewals, and modifications.
- Utilize Excel and contract management software to track contract performance metrics and generate detailed reports.
- Develop contract summaries and risk assessments to ensure strategic decision-making.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, contract management, law, or a related field.
- ~ 3–5 years of experience in contract management, procurement, or contract administration.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis, and reporting functions).
