Job Summary :

Students in k-12 attend classes at the campus located at 600 N. 14th Street in Grand Junction, Colorado. Students' grade level determines their required day on campus. An additional half day is offered to students in a study lab format for grades 6-12. Students in grades 6-12 rotate to their different classes on the required day, much like a traditional school. Elementary students have an additional optional full day offered during the school week. Elementary students are only enrolled in the hybrid option.
2.)The online option requires students to attend virtual classes at least once weekly in every course they are enrolled in. Classes are held on different days, so students do not have all their courses on the same day. The online option is only available to students in grades 6-12. Students attend additional virtual lab time when they need more help. Student attend their virtual classes from home.
Students in both options complete their work online asynchronously from home whenever they are not in their required classes. This is currently done through the Edmentum online courseware program.
Students school at least 30 hours per week, synchronously and asynchronously, at a minimum. Students can also participate in extracurricular clubs and field trip opportunities during the school week virtually and in person. Grades 6-12 comprise the bulk of Grand River Academy's student population. The school offers its graduates in 12th grade a School District #51 diploma.
Currently, teachers working in the hybrid model are entirely in-person at our campus. Teachers working with the online option are presently teaching primarily from home.
