What are the responsibilities and job description for the Gateway Aviators Volunteer Program position at Mesa Gateway Airport Authority?

We are looking for varied hours of availability for either a morning or afternoon/evening shift. Please indicate your availability.
Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport Authority welcomes and values its volunteers, recognizing the wide variety of skills and knowledge they contribute. Volunteers undertake a range of roles that extend accessibility and enables Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport Authority to expand services. Gateway volunteers primarily staff the airport information counter in baggage claim and provide customers with information and directions during flight activity. The position may require the volunteer to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
Volunteers perform a variety of tasks in many areas of the Airport and have the satisfaction of assisting to complete tasks/projects that may not be accomplished without them. Tasks can include: answering general airport and airline related questions; providing flight information to customers; providing customers with requested transportation and lodging information; recommending local tourism; assisting with other special airport-related events. Volunteer opportunities are organized on the basis that they enhance, but do not replace the service of paid staff.
