Job Summary
Perform intake services for potential and incoming CCDF Clients. The CCDF Program is a financial assistance
program for child care services through center-based or in-home provider. Ensures coordination and regulations
are met for the Child Care Development Fund (CCDF). Codes, files and retrieve records. As Floater will assist in
all child care departments when needed to ensure daily operation.
This position description may not include all of the listed duties, nor do all of the listed examples include all tasks which
may be found or assigned to this position.
Duties and Responsibilities
Conducts intake on all CCDF and In-home Provider Application. Ensure all documentation and
application is complete.
Reviews applications to determine eligibility and approval to the program.
Reviews and explains the CCDF policies and procedures to parents and staff.
Researches state and federal Medicaid and poverty guidelines and establish income threshold for
eligibility.
Reviews paperwork and obtains signature with client. Completes and files all paperwork.
Collects and monitors child care service hours per child on a bi-weekly basis, complete and submit in-
home provider time on a bi-weekly basis.
Conducts inspection of in-home providers every six months. Documents and follows up on any
deficiency.
Collects and approves billing for child care service provided to CCDF children.
Requests employment verifications and receives confidential documentation from applicants or other
departments.
Answers telephones, checks email, assists visitors, and provides information.
Assists or fills in and provides direct child care including educational, health, social, mental, and
nutritional components.
Assists in provides care to children six weeks to 12 years of age. Incorporates curriculum that is age
appropriate for early child development.
Establishes, maintains, and updates files, databases, records, and/or other documents; ensures all files
are up to date, organize and maintain CCDF monitoring for submission of Annual ACF-700 Reporting.
Performs periodic inspections of materials or files in order to ensure correct placement, legibility and
paper condition.
Researches information, compiles statistics, and gathers and computes various data; prepares special
and/or one-time reports, summaries, or replies to inquiries, selecting relevant data from a variety of
sources.
Attend required training meetings, seminars on CCDF policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.
Two years administrative and child care experience.
Good communication, computer and organization skills required.
Must have a valid NM Driver’s License.
Must have reliable transportation.
Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen and background investigation, in
accordance with the Child Care Protection Act.
Tribal preference and Native American Indian preference shall apply to all positions.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger,
handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms above shoulder level. The employee frequently is required to
stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee occasionally is required to sit; climb or balance;
and smell. The employee occasionally lifts children. The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment:
Work is generally performed in a childcare center, kitchen, and classroom environment and outdoors with high
noise level. Exposure to bodily fluids, urine, or feces of babies or infants and small children. Exposure to
unpleasant odors and infectious disease. Exposure to heat, fumes and steam. Exposure to natural weather
conditions and various dusts and mists may occur while performing outdoor duties. Evening, weekend, and/or
holiday work will be required. Extended hours and irregular shifts may be required.
Salary : $6 - $17
