We are seeking a friendly, motivated, and detail-oriented Assistant Golf Professional to support our daily operations. The ideal candidate will be passionate about golf and providing excellent customer service while maintaining a clean and well-organized course environment. This is a great entry-level opportunity for someone looking to build experience in the golf or hospitality industry.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist golfers in the pro shop, on the course, and during events.
• Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, addressing concerns, and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
• Help golfers with equipment rentals, tee time bookings, and general inquiries.
• Assist the Director of Golf with golf lessons, clinics, and group programs for players of all skill levels at the discretion of the D.O.I.
• Monitor the course and enforce golf rules and etiquette to maintain a positive experience for all players.
• Assist the Director of Tournaments with golf tournaments, events, and outings, providing support as needed.
• Help manage the day-to-day operations of the pro shop, including inventory, merchandising, and sales.
• Ensure the shop is well-stocked, clean, and organized. Assist with retail sales, promotions, and customer transactions at the discretion of the Merchandiser.
• Coordinate with the Systems Manager to ensure there is congruency between Sonoma Ranch & Red Hawk with all operations, training, and services.
• Assist with the promotion of golf programs and events. Help maintain social media and marketing efforts to attract new players and enhance the course’s visibility.
• Provide administrative support to the Head Golf Professional, including scheduling, record-keeping, and report generation. Handle phone calls, emails, and bookings as necessary.
• Collaborate with the course maintenance team to ensure the course is in top condition for play.
• Help monitor course conditions, pace of play, and player behavior to ensure a positive golfing experience.
  
  

Qualifications:

• Customer-focused: Friendly, approachable, and committed to delivering outstanding service to golfers of all skill levels.
• Detail-oriented: Ability to stay organized and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Team player: Ability to work in a collaborative environment and assist with various tasks as needed.
• Basic Knowledge of Golf: Understanding of the game of golf is a plus but not required. Willingness to learn and a passion for the sport are important.
• Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform basic physical tasks such as walking the course, lifting golf clubs, and standing for extended periods.
