Mesivta of Cincinnati is seeking a qualified Science Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. The ideal candidate will teach any of three classes of Science (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics), Monday-Thursday. Scheduling is flexible with class options ranging from 2:15pm-6:30pm. Salary ranges from $7,500-$22,500, depending on experience and qualifications.

The Mesivta of Cincinnati is a new Jewish Yeshiva high school, established in 2021. The school was founded to provide students with a superior education in the heart of Cincinnati’s flourishing Torah Jewish community. Mesivta offers the serious learner the best possible educational, social and emotional Yeshiva (Religious Jewish Secondary School) experience in a warm Torah environment – combining Cincinnati’s unique, caring and nurturing community with a high level of learning and great academic standards. Schedule:
Monday-Thursday: classes do not start before 2:15pm. Fridays OFF.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the Ohio Science Course Requirements
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and growth
Effectively manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe and respectful learning environment
Utilize learning technologies and educational resources to enhance instruction
Assess student progress and provide timely feedback to students and parents/guardians
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies
Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in education
Requirements
Ideal candidates will
Have a Bachelor’s Degree in secondary education, math or a related field
Be able to organize units and engaging lessons based on Ohio’s state standards for high school Science
Possess a non-tax certificate, eligible to teach in Ohio private schools
Maintain an organized gradebook and take daily attendance
Maintain classroom management and discipline consistent with school policies
Communicate with students, staff and parents effectively
Work cooperatively with staff and Rabbis to ensure our students are getting the most out of each day.
Work well in a small classroom environment of 10-12 students.
Teaching license preferred but not required
A strong familiarity with Ohio or national standards for Science preferred by not required.
