MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT: 21 years old
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Valid Driver’s License and D.M.V. Driving History Printout (no more than 30 days old).
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for organizing, implementing, executing, and evaluating all entertainment event related activities for all Mesquite Gaming properties.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum six (6) months College or Vocational Training in Electronics or Sound Engineering desirable. Minimum one (1) year experience working with audio visual engineering equipment is required. This person must be able to handle the stress of multiple tasks; must be able to organize and prioritize tasks in order to meet deadlines in a timely manner. This person must be punctual and able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Requisition, install, repair, and maintain all entertainment lighting/sound equipment.
Design sound and lighting systems, operate mixing board, and monitor sound room equipment.
Review all event work orders and/or requisitions with staff members for proper execution of events.
Maintain essential paperwork, such as requisitions, work orders, etc.
Review daily entertainment reports submitted by sound crew.
Hire, train, lead, motivate, schedule, discipline, and evaluate Entertainment staff members as needed and/or in the absence of the Director/Manager.
Enforce all safety procedures, rules and regulations for the department and OSHA.
Other job-related duties as assigned and instructed by management.

The work requires physical exertion such as long periods of standing; walking over rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; recurring lifting of moderately heavy items. The work may require specific, but common, physical characteristics and abilities such as above-average agility and dexterity.
WORK CONDITIONS:
The work involves moderate risks or discomforts requiring special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, carts, or machines, or with irritant chemicals. Employees may be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, glasses, hard hats, gloves, and boots.Use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, and observance of fire regulations and traffic signals. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated. The work environment involves exposure to secondhand smoke in a casino. This is a 24 hour/7 day a week work environment with varying shifts including weekends and holidays.
