JOB SUMMARY:
Oversee all aspects of pools, including: equipment maintenance and repairs for all heaters and pumps for the Pools, Spas, Jacuzzis, and all other water features on Company property (fountains, lagoon, etc.). Responsible for maintaining all pool chemicals at appropriate levels. The Pool Manager is responsible for overseeing, directing, and leading the Pool staff members.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous supervisory experience required. Must have one year previous experience as a Certified Pool Operator. High school diploma or equivalent required. Must be able to read, write, understand and communicate clearly in English. Basic computer skills required. Must be able to work in a 24 hour/7 day a week work environment with varying shifts including weekends and holidays.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Understand, comply with and enforce company and departmental policies and procedures, Nevada State , Clark County and OSHA regulations and standards and other written and verbal instructions, relating to the operation of the pools.
Manage water chemistry in all pools, spas, Jacuzzi and water features, and maintain daily records of readings.
Maintain the pool areas in clean and safe repair for guest safety and enjoyment.
Hire, train, lead, develop, motivate, evaluate, coach, and discipline employees.
Control payroll and expenditures.
Other job related duties as assigned and instructed by management.
CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPECTATIONS:
Assist guests by providing detailed directions.
Assist guests with use of all equipment and amenities.
Have printed information available on various equipment and machines.
Insure that employees are providing guests with great customer service.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing; walking over rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces; recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; recurring lifting of moderately heavy items such as typewriters and record boxes. The work may require specific, but common, physical characteristics and abilities such as above-average agility and dexterity.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work involves moderate risks or discomforts requiring special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, carts, or machines, or with contagious diseases or irritant chemicals under extreme outdoor weather conditions. Employees may be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, gowns, coats, boots, goggles, gloves, or shields. This is a 24 hour/7 day a week work environment with varying shifts including weekends and holidays.
