Job Summary :
Messer's Global Sustainability Office is an entrepreneurial and agile group of results-oriented and collaborative practitioners responsible for integrating sustainable practices and principles into Messer's operations around the world. The team reports to the CEO and works closely with senior leadership in the corporate and regional organization to stay ahead of emerging sustainability policy, to drive progress on environmental, social and governance commitments, to manage sustainability reporting, data and tools, and to engage stakeholders to support and contribute. Principal Responsibilities :
Sustainability reporting
- Manage preparation of annual sustainability reports
- Understand the global regulatory frameworks (e.g., CSRD, EU Taxonomy)
- Prepare and analyze ESG reports and key performance indicators, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and adherence to relevant reporting frameworks (e.g., CSRD, GRI, SASB, TCFD)
- Monitor sustainability performance metrics and develop analyses
- Understand and analyze data required for carbon accounting
- Develop and maintain appropriate documentation for data sources, reports, progress trackers, KPIs, and other related material
- Understand and lead compliance with the global regulatory frameworks (e.g., CSRD, EU Taxonomy)
- Evaluate, identify, and monitor company reporting, gaps, and improvement opportunities and develop approaches to improve
- Develop data management and reporting structures and mechanisms to ensure real-time performance and assessment against metrics and goals to ensure transparency and accountability
