JOB SUMMARY :
The Repair Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing moderate to complex electro / mechanical systems. This position will work in a fast-paced environment supporting repair and return functions within the Aftersales team for moderate to complex systems including documenting, troubleshooting, and repair of customer owned product or equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Repair Operator Panels (HMI - Human Machine Interface)
Replace damaged components such as buttons, toggles, switches, Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs)
Troubleshooting to the board levelSoldering skills neededRepair / rebuild lifters of various sizes and stylesRebuild Oxy Fuel TorchesProgram Hard Drives for machines in the fieldTroubleshoot height sensing equipmentEvaluate, repair, and process returns (RMAs) for spare parts and consumablesDocuments service actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and recordsRead, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering specs and drawings, BOM’s, and other written instructions to accurately assemble / repair equipmentMaintain inventory requirements in repair centerPerform quality checks to ensure product meets quality standardsProvides support for the assembly of new or retrofit CNC thermal cutting machinesOther responsibilities as assigned by supervisorAn individual in this position must be able to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed above. MINIMUM EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS :
High School Diploma or equivalent2 or more years of experience in electromechanical repair assemblyADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES :
Work independently with little supervisionBasic knowledge of PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers)Utilize handheld toolsEffective time management and organizational skillsAbility to work under pressureAbility to troubleshoot using diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve problemsProficient computer skills and experience working with Microsoft Office and business systemsAbility to multi-task and manage multiple priorities to meet business objectivesAdaptable to change in fast-paced environmentStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.Strong attention to detail and timelines related to service levelPROTECTIVE CLOTHING / EQUIPMENT :
