Position Description
Position Summary
The External Communication Assistant (ECA) will support the Annual Giving team by assisting with donor relations and communication projects, such as newsletters, email design, donor research, digital analytics, solicitations, Giving Day, etc. The ECA will assist with donor thank you communications and other projects as assigned. Projects will include research and oral communication as well as social media knowledge, developed writing skills and occasional videography. The ECA must be able to identify students who are willing to share about their Messiah experiences and the impact that donors have on them. This position requires the individual to collaborate effectively with other offices on campus and various Messiah University constituents.
Major Preferred
Marketing, Communication, English, Social Sciences preferred, all majors welcome to apply.

- Responsible for creating content and management of the Annual Giving Newsletter project
- Serving as an ambassador for Messiah University, interacting in an enthusiastic and professional manner
- Engaging with students, alumni, donors, parents and friends of Messiah University
- Helping to raise financial support for the University through digital and hard-copy communication
- Share news about events and programs at the University
- Conduct research assignments for Office of Annual Giving
- Maintain consistent and reliable attendance
- Other duties as assigned.
