What are the responsibilities and job description for the Trucking Manager / Dispatcher position at Messick's Equipment?
We are looking for a motivated individual to join our service department management team.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and promote the Messick Trucking Department
- Manage and motivate trucking department employees
- Create, schedule, and assign trucking orders
- Promptly answer incoming phone calls & emails
- Support truck drivers to maintain efficiency and productivity
- Timely and accurate customer invoicing
- Manage the vehicle fleet for all departments
- Coordinate with other departments and management at all Messick locations
- Provide backup for the Mount Joy setup shop as needed
Ensure customers receive exceptional service with a commitment to department profitability
Requirements:
- Positive attitude and a team player
- Communicate effectively with customers and coworkers
- Attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Computer proficiency
- Knowledge of trucking
- Commitment to department goals and profitability
Preferred:
- Previous management experience
- Knowledge of farm and construction equipment
