Plant Location: 9280 Dutton Dr, Twinsburg, OH 44087

Purpose: Manages human resource functions, including compensation, benefits, recruitment, employee relations, training and personnel/payroll transactions. Implements, administers and enforces company policies, procedures and benefits as dictated according to FMF and Mestek established company manuals.

Responsible for representing the benefits of FMF to employees' and recruits. Maintains effective communications with all internal personnel including factory, office and corporate employees to ensure proper support of companies' policies and benefits.

Responsibilities:

  • Benefits Administration/ Program and Policy Development

  • Provides, disseminates and administer all corporate benefits, programs and policies and ensures compliance with applicable state and federal laws.
  • Conducts and/or supervises the annual " open enrollment" process within the directed time frames.
  • Ensures benefit programs are effectively communicated to employees and administered according to established guidelines.
  • Ensures that all necessary paperwork is completed in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Keeps Vice President of Administration and President abreast of discrepancies and related problems.
  • Oversees the maintenance of employees' personnel files and other confidential files.
  • Assess and develop effective company policies according to changing company needs.

  • Personnel/Payroll Transactions

  • Ensures the accurate and timely entry of all data for payroll processing, including employee separations, leave transfers, benefit changes, compensation increases and all other payroll related items.
  • Oversees the proper administration of payroll problems encountered and observes for accuracy and completeness of appropriate documentation/forms.
  • Recruitment

  • Ensures position classification, recruitment and employee selections are accomplished within acceptable time frames and in accordance with established guidelines and policies. Consults with managers and supervisors to initiate recruitment activities.
  • Analyzes staffing issues and consults with Managers and supervisors to initiate recruitment activities and develop strategies that meet organizational needs.
  • Aggressively recruit applicants using the most appropriate method, reviewing candidate pools to determine when expanded efforts are necessary.
  • Processes Personnel Requisitions according to established corporate guidelines, ensuring budgetary approval for position allocation or reallocations.

  • Employee Relations
    • Oversees the processing of disciplinary, adverse actions, grievances and other employee relations matters.
    • Advises managers on employee disciplinary issues and encouraging progressive discipline when appropriate, ensuring that actions adhere to all relevant rules and policies.
    • Strictly follows established procedures related to confidentiality of data.
    • Discusses potential disciplinary or grievance-related concerns with supervisors, managers or employees in order to identify options or resolve issues.

  • Performance Reviews

  • Properly administers the performance review management process by ensuring appropriate documents are distributed timely.
  • Properly and tactfully advises manager's on compliance with applicable policies, procedures and deadlines.
  • Reviews performance management forms for appropriate signature and thoroughly checks forms for completeness and accuracy, returning them by established deadlines.
  • Ensures all reviews are fair and accurate in their assessments and that they comply with all established guidelines.

  • Special Projects
  • Gathers appropriate statistics and other data which reflect personnel activity, modifying reports to reflect changes in data analysis and management needs.
  • Demonstrates considerable interpersonal skills and judgment in representing the company effectively in all interactions with external entities.
  • Serves as liaison with external entities including organizations, vendors, governmental departments, former employees and any other individuals in order to conduct the company's business in a professional manner.
  • Responsible for professionally organizing all company social events, activities and employee events.

  • Able to read, analyze, and interpret moderate to complex business correspondence.
