Accountant

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen and a solid understanding of accounting principles. This role is crucial in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. The Accountant will work closely with various departments to provide insights and recommendations based on financial data.

Duties

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliation to verify the integrity of accounts.
• Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoicing and collections.
• Perform financial auditing to assess the accuracy of financial records and identify discrepancies.
• Utilize financial software such as Sage and Xero for efficient data management and reporting.
• Collaborate with public accounting firms for external audits and tax preparation.
• Support corporate accounting functions, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Assist in private equity transactions by providing necessary financial documentation and analysis.
• Maintain organized records of all financial transactions for easy retrieval and review.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
• Proven experience in public accounting or corporate accounting roles.
• Strong knowledge of balance sheet reconciliation processes.
• Familiarity with financial auditing practices is a plus.
• Proficiency in financial software such as Sage or Xero is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Strong communication skills to effectively convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
