Overview :
Metal Exchange International (MEI) is seeking a Traffic Administrator for our Zurich office. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in customer service and be proficient in Microsoft Office applications. The individual needs to be process and detail-oriented who is highly skilled at communication with suppliers, customers and freight forwarders to ensure smooth order execution. Strong ability to create, assemble and present applicable documentation required per country, in accordance with trade laws and regulations.

Responsibilities :
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations, ensuring efficient traffic flow of aluminium products.
- Communicate with suppliers, carriers, and customers to ensure timely delivery and receipt of shipments.
- Manage documentation related to shipping, customs clearance, and compliance with trade regulations.
- Utilize Microsoft Office tools to maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory, and logistics activities.
- Assist in resolving any issues or delays in the transportation process.
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to enhance client satisfaction.
- If experienced, use Dynamics 365 to streamline processes and improve data management.
- When needed, negotiate rates and services to move shipments
- Address and resolve arising challenges and disputes concerning transportation and documentation
- Arrange payment of supplier invoices, service provider invoices and send customer invoices
- Other duties as assigned
