We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist Intern to join our team and support procurement operations within a fast-paced aluminum manufacturing environment. This role offers hands-on experience in supply chain management, sourcing strategies, and vendor relations. As a Procurement Intern, you will assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities, analyzing supplier performance, managing purchase orders, and ensuring the timely delivery of materials and components critical to production. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, engineering, and quality control, to maintain an efficient and reliable supply chain.

- Manage multiple improvement projects that deliver measurable savings and operational enhancements to the manufacturing team
- Manage procurement / supplier data in manufacturing and corporate systems
- Assist in the development and monitoring of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Improve recordkeeping and processes to enhance plant audit readiness and compliance.
- Cross-functional Collaboration Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as production, engineering, and quality assurance teams, to understand their procurement needs and ensure timely delivery of materials and supplies
- Compliance and Ethics Ensure procurement activities within designated categories adhere to company policies, ethical standards, and industry regulations, promoting a culture of transparency and integrity.
- Understanding of Procurement / Supply Chain processes and strategies
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite of products
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple procurement projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in procurement software and / or procurement P2P processes.
- Adaptability to dynamic business environments and changing market conditions.
- A proactive approach to identifying process improvements and cost-saving opportunities.
- Excellent Organization and Communication skills.
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance or a related field.
