Job Overview:
The Press Brake Operator plays a critical role in our metal fabrication process. We are in need of the best and are willing to pay a sign on bonus after 90 days for your expertise! You will be responsible for setting up and operating Amada press brake machines to bend and shape metal sheets according to precise specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating press brake equipment, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities:
Machine Setup: Set up press brake machines according to job specifications, including selecting the appropriate tooling, adjusting settings, and positioning material for bending.
Direct experience with Amada Brake Press or equivalent IS sign on bonus eligible after 90 days.
Operation: Operate press brake machines to bend and shape metal sheets according to blueprints, drawings, or job orders, ensuring accuracy and adherence to dimensional tolerances.

Quality Control: Inspect finished parts for accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Make adjustments to machine settings as needed to maintain quality standards.
Material Handling: Load and unload metal sheets onto the press brake machine, ensuring proper alignment and positioning for bending operations. Safely move finished parts to designated storage areas or workstations.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while operating press brake equipment, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safe work practices.
Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on press brake machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting for signs of wear or damage. Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production activities, including job setups, machine settings, production quantities, and quality inspection results.
Qualifications:
- Direct experience with Amada Brake Press or equivalent IS A HUGE PLUS!
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, drawings, and job orders.
- Knowledge of metal fabrication processes and materials.
- Familiarity with measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Experience working with a variety of metals, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols at all times.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software for programming press brake operations is not required but a plus.
