Locally owned and operated, MPI maintains light manufacturing and heavy distribution centers in Tulsa and Kansas City. Metal Panels Inc. is looking for a Production Planner to join our team in our Tulsa facility. This role will be crucial for the future success of our growing business. If you love a challenge and enjoy working in a fast-paced and energetic environment, this job is for you!
Job duties:
- Check all orders for errors/inconsistencies before scheduling
- Develop and maintain production schedules to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Coordinate with different departments like sales, marketing, and logistics to plan and adjust production needs
- Analyze production specifications and plant capacity data to determine manufacturing processes and tools
- Monitor and adjust schedules to meet unforeseen conditions
- Prepare production reports and forward them to the management
- Identify any potential delays or problems in the production process and devise ways to overcome them
- Coordinate with material procurement and logistics teams to ensure the timely availability of raw materials and the delivery of finished goods
- Analyze order intake from sales and provide actionable scheduling solutions to management
- Evaluate production performance and recommend improvements
- Additional tasks will be required based on the needs of the organization
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience scheduling work orders across multiple work centers and departments
- Must have great written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
- Needs to have a general understanding of computer programs- Word, Excel, etc
- Experience in Business Central (BC) is a plus.
- Bi-lingual a plus.
